Design Challenge


This is a 1-hour working session where graphic design students will be teamed up with Public Health students from around the United States.


Teams will have 30 min to create 1 social media post. The goal is to share a piece of public health knowledge in a way that appeals to a specific audience.



What You Will Gain


  1. Practice leveraging mockups and prototyping tools to collaborate with a diverse team
  2. Appreciation for the challenges of tailoring designs to appeal to a specific audience
  3. Experience communicating scientific information on social media platforms


Basics

Where: Virtual event on Zoom.

What to bring: Yourself and digital design tools.

Basics

Where: Virtual event on Zoom.

What to bring: Will need to have device ready for design work. Ok to use any tools (i.e. stock images, open fonts, Creative Market, Canva or Adobe Express). Google slides will be used for preparing and sharing prototypes. On Zoom, participants are usually on camera to work with teammates.
