About the Event

Can we supercharge health advocacy? How many policymakers can we reach with local data? In this workshop, join us as we explore what is possible using free sources of infant mortality data and an infogram kit. All skill levels and experience welcome! No prior data or advocacy experience required.

Objective: Learn how to create and send local data reports (a.k.a. infograms) to elected officials to educate policymakers on infant mortality.

This 90 minute workshop is split into 3 main parts. Feel free to join us for part 1 or all. Times are approximate.

  • Part 1 (30 min). Background Intro + Speedrun Tour of how we can supercharge health advocacy using our favorite, emerging technology

  • Part 2 (30 min). Step-by-Step walkthrough of the infogram kit

  • Part 3 (30 min). Data visualization, template provided, advocacy-centered
