About the Event
How do we take action and advocate for teen mental health? A good first step is to identify possible gaps and root causes. In this workshop, join us as we explore powerful sources of free data and conduct a community (1) gap analysis and (2) root cause analysis and (3) create a data story. All skill levels and experience welcome! No prior data experience required. Skills can be applied to grant-writing and community health assessments.

This 90 minute workshop is split into 3 main parts. Join us for part 1, part 2, part 1+2, or all. Times are approximate.

Part 1 (30 min). Introductions + Speedrun Tour of our favorite free data sources on teen mental health indicators
Part 2 (30 min). Step-by-Step walkthrough of how to spot possible gaps and root causes using a data story
Part 3 (30 min). Create a community data story to identify possible gaps and root causes

Computer recommended. This is an interactive and collaborative session, so joining on mobile is not recommended. In part 3, we will be using software like Google Drive and Canva. If your worksite blocks these sites, please consider joining on a non-work computer.
